Aptos Jr Highs Rock Band “Whiplash” headlined with an awesome set after Rio Del Mar Elementary Schools “Overcast” & “Alive” opened the show at Coasters Lounge in The Boardwalk Bowl on May 13th.

Bassist Omar Morales (14) has been volunteering at Grind Out Hunger events for a few years, but this year he was inspired by Hunger Fighters Marissa Hushaw & Zane Keith to do more, and what better way than through his love of music. Omar started an online campaign and ask family and friends to donate to Grind Out Hunger. Omar opened the show by letting the crowed know how many people in our community are in need and that everyone could help by donating to Grind Out Hunger.
