We journeyed over to St. Francis Central Coast Catholic High School this morning at around 7:30am to speak during a school wide assembly. Danny Keith took the floor equipped with a wireless mic and 2 Grind Out Hunger skateboards. He spoke to the student body about the issues of hunger in our community and the need for action especially from the youth.
Last year, the first year that St. Francis High School participated in the Grind Out Hunger food drive, they raised 10,281 Pounds. Their goal this year: 10,000+ Pounds. We want to see them hit the 20,000 mark. We know they have the capability and the motivation to do it.
